The Koenigsegg CC850 was introduced in 2022 to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary and the 50th birthday of founder Christian von Koenigsegg. The design pays homage to the original Koenigsegg CC8S, while incorporating the latest innovations in performance and manufacturing.

Only 70 units of the CC850 will be built worldwide. This number was later increased from the originally planned 50 units due to high demand. Each vehicle is individually configured and produced in Ängelholm, Sweden.

Koenigsegg CC850 Engine

The Koenigsegg CC850 is equipped with a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine developed entirely in-house. It produces 1,185 hp on regular fuel and up to 1,385 hp on E85, with more than 1,385 Nm of torque available. The engine features an aluminum block, a dry sump lubrication system, and dual Koenigsegg-designed turbochargers with advanced anti-lag calibration. It revs to 8,500 rpm, delivering extreme performance without hybrid assistance. Cooling is ensured by a dual water-cooled charge air system, and exhaust gases are managed by a lightweight titanium system with active valves.

Unlike most Koenigsegg models, the CC850 is designed to deliver both nostalgic driving engagement and advanced modern performance. It combines a lightweight carbon monocoque with active aerodynamics, rear-wheel drive, and a pure mechanical feel.
