1952 Delahaye Type 235 Cabriolet Antem for Sale in the Netherlands

This 1952 Delahaye Type 235 Cabriolet Antem is a used car showing 53,213 km. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in White with a Blue interior.

Chassis 818022 carries the only cabriolet among the fourteen 235s bodied by Antem, and it was the feature car of the 1952 Paris Motor Show at the Grand Palais. Registered in Paris on 6 November 1952, it passed in 1957 to the Belgian-born film actor Victor Franssen and in June 1963 to a Paris lawyer, keeping its original plates.

It later joined Philippe Charbonneaux's museum collection in Reims, the designer of the 235's front, and went to his family in 1985, still original but for its paint. Between 2012 and 2014 a French specialist restored it completely: bare-metal body, wiring, instruments, paint and trim in the original colours, engine, brakes and gearbox. Photos, invoices, a Delahaye Club certificate and matching numbers support it.

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands.

The Delahaye 235 uses the 3,557 cc straight-six taken from the 135 MS, with three downdraught Solex carburettors, rated at 152 hp (113 kW) at 4,200 rpm, with a four-speed Cotal pre-selector gearbox driving the rear wheels. Delahaye sold it as a rolling chassis for coachbuilders, chiefly Chapron but also Figoni, Saoutchik and Antem, with a full-width front drawn by Philippe Charbonneaux. Only 84 were built.

FAQ

This Delahaye Type 235 in the European market

Can this Delahaye be bought in the Netherlands and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands. The dealer quotes it as: VAT included and not reclaimable: sold under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this Delahaye Type 235, and how does a purchase work?

Gallery Aaldering, a professional dealer in Brummen, Netherlands. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Delahaye Type 235 be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Brummen, Netherlands, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.

Is this Delahaye Type 235 still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Gallery Aaldering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the Netherlands?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
