For 2018 the Sport gained black headlight surrounds, larger sills and a new front bumper that cut the drag coefficient from 0.35 to 0.33. It keeps the four seats of the coupé under a fabric roof, the first four-seat convertible in Maserati's history.
The GranCabrio was revealed at Frankfurt in 2009 and built in Modena from 2010, the Sport following at Geneva in March 2011; production ended in 2019 after 11,715 convertibles.
