The Brooklands has a low chassis with a wheelbase 30 cm shorter than the tourer's, cycle wings and a pointed tail. The engine and chassis were designed by the brothers Percy and Stanley Riley.
Riley built the Nine in Coventry from 1926 to 1938, and the Brooklands two-seater, named after the English racing circuit, from 1928 to 1932.
