About the Superformance MKIII

The MKIII is Superformance's replica of the third-generation 427 Shelby Cobra, built in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, under licence from Carroll Shelby: a TIG-welded steel ladder frame, independent suspension front and rear, Wilwood disc brakes and a hand-laid fibreglass body. Superformance sells it as a rolling chassis without engine or gearbox; most cars receive a Ford V8 based on the 351 Windsor, others another Ford engine family.

Superformance International was founded in 1996 by Hi-Tech Automotive and is based in Irvine, California.
