Wiesmann MF3 Roadster for Sale

The chassis is hot-dip galvanised steel clad in aluminium, under a body of glass-fibre reinforced plastic. The front suspension uses MacPherson struts with a transverse link and a stabiliser, the rear a central control arm axle with leading and transverse links and a stabiliser. Kerb weight is 1,180 kg. The MF3 exists only as a roadster, unlike the later MF4 and MF5, which were also built as coupés. It is 3,860 mm long, 1,750 mm wide and just 1,160 mm high on a 2,296 mm wheelbase, and it has no passenger airbag.

The brothers Martin and Friedhelm Wiesmann founded the company in 1988 at Dülmen, where the roadster made its debut in 1993 and the cars were built by hand. The MF3 stayed the entry model of the range until 2011; in 2001 it moved to the BMW S54 engine with 343 PS and a six-speed gearbox.
