The chrome-molybdenum steel trellis frame uses the engine as a stressed member, with a 41 mm Kayaba upside-down fork and a Kayaba shock. A 330 mm front disc with a four-piston caliper and a 245 mm rear disc have ABS. The Icon, the simplest version, has ten-spoke cast wheels and a smooth black seat, and the ready-to-ride weight is 186 kg.

The Scrambler revives the name of the Ducati singles built from 1962 to 1974 and was presented at the 2014 Intermot in Cologne. Its engines and frames are made at Borgo Panigale and shipped to Thailand for final assembly.
