The 63 S carries the E-Active Body Control system, which reads the road ahead with a stereo camera and pushes each wheel down or up through a 48-volt hydraulic actuator.

Mercedes-AMG has been based at Affalterbach since 1976 and belonged to Daimler outright since 2005. Its rule of one man, one engine puts the builder's signature plate on each hand-assembled V8 and V12, and the GT and the SLS are the cars AMG designed from the ground up rather than reworked.
