1968 Focus Mark V for Sale in the Netherlands

This 1968 Focus Mark V is a used car showing 100 km. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Yellow.

Sportscars Motors, the Swedish firm of Lennart Sundin and Sven Buris Burehed, built racing cars under the Focus name in the 1960s, from single-seaters to sports cars. The Mark V was made for Picko Troberg to contest the two-litre class of the World Sportscar Championship, on a Charles Lucas chassis that drew on the Lotus 23, under an aluminium body made in house.

A Maserati engine came first; it disappointed and gave way to the 1600 Cosworth FVA of about 200 hp still fitted, driving through a five-speed Hewland. The car is sold as a restoration project, with its racing wheels and two extra front sections, and is kept in storage, where viewing is by appointment.

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands.

The Focus Mark V (Cosworth FVA) uses the Cosworth FVA, a 1,598 cc four-cylinder with twin overhead camshafts driven by a train of nine gears, built on the Ford Cortina crossflow block, rated at 225 bhp (168 kW) at 9,000 rpm, with a five-speed Hewland gearbox, as fitted to this car. Cosworth developed the FVA in 1966 for the new 1.6-litre Formula Two.

FAQ

This Focus Mark V in the European market

Can this Focus be bought in the Netherlands and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands. The dealer quotes it as: VAT included and not reclaimable: sold under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this Focus Mark V, and how does a purchase work?

Gallery Aaldering, a professional dealer in Brummen, Netherlands. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Focus Mark V be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Brummen, Netherlands, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.

Is this Focus Mark V still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Gallery Aaldering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the Netherlands?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
