2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta for Sale in United Kingdom

A 458 Speciale Aperta of 2015, left-hand drive, in Nero Daytona over charcoal, VAT qualifying.

The Speciale Aperta is the open 458 Speciale, 499 built: the 4.5-litre naturally aspirated V8 at 605 CV (133 CV per litre, a record for a road-going naturally aspirated engine at the time) with side-slip control and a retractable hardtop.

It is the last open Ferrari with a naturally aspirated V8. DK Engineering sells it from Chorleywood.

The fastest naturally aspirated V8 supercar ever produced by Ferrari the 458 Speciale really needs no introduction, the already spectacular 458 platform benefits from a huge host of benefits including increased power which equates to the most driver-focussed Ferrari V8 ever produced. The increased power means the 458's Motor holds a World Record for naturally aspirated output. The 458 Speciale's 597HP equates to 133hp/litre, an astonishing output. Perhaps not surprisingly, the 458 Speciale has won the prestigious "2013 Supercar of the Year" award from Top Gear Magazine and 2014 Evo Magazine "Car of the Year". The engine alone has won Best Performance Engine of the year 2011,2012 and 2014 as noted by the plaque between the seats.

Autocar Magazine formed the following conclusion on testing the awe-inspiring Speciale: "The mid-engined Ferrari supercar has reached a turning point, it strikes us - and there may never be a better one for purist thrill-seekers than the one you see here. Next year comes to a '458M', for want of the official name: a mid-life refresh that'll bring with it a new turbocharged engine. We've recorded what turbos have done to BMW M cars, AMG Mercs, Porsche 911s and more in this modern performance car era - and seldom do we universally approve. This is why right now may be a definitive moment in the development of the mid-engined Ferrari concept: a zenith in some ways, perhaps. The car to mark it could hardly be more aptly named or purposefully constructed.”

Cut from the same cloth as the legendary Challenge Stradale and Scuderia, the Speciale is the last naturally aspirated instalment in this hugely collectable line of naturally aspirated V8 thrilling V8 supercars. The 458 Speciale A is a spider variant for the 458 Speciale. The 'A' stands for 'Aperta', which is Italian for 'open' - and it was limited to only 499 examples and sold out immediately to the VIP clients of Ferrari only. Just like the closed-top Speciale, the Aperta has a 4.5 litre naturally aspirated V8 which produces 597 horsepower and 398-pound feet of torque. 0-60 mph takes only 3.0 seconds and it is capable of a top speed of 202 mph. It is the most powerful, street-legal, naturally aspirated V8 Ferrari has ever launched in a spider variant.

This example was supplied new in 2015, optioned in the elegant Nero Daytona with its racing livery Grigio Corsa & Argento Nurburgring.

This example is today offered for sale with just 2,500 miles from new. Accompanied by its original books, this highly specified example presents superbly in Nero Daytona with its signature livery in Grigio Corsa and Argento Nurburgring.

FAQ

This Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta in the European market

Can this Ferrari be bought in the United Kingdom and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

How does the mileage of this Ferrari compare?

4,023 km recorded, against a median of 4,925 km across the Ferrari advertised in Europe in 2026. It is therefore among the lower-mileage cars currently listed. Service history and previous owners are not published on LUSSO and should be confirmed with the selling dealer.

Who is selling this Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta, and how does a purchase work?

DK Engineering, a professional dealer in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Chorleywood, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history: LUSSO does not publish these and cannot confirm them.

Is this Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with DK Engineering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the United Kingdom?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.

Where can I see the wider Ferrari market?

LUSSO publishes a market overview for the 458 Speciale Aperta, covering current asking prices in Europe, availability by country, why prices differ, how VAT works on a cross-border purchase and what to compare between two cars.
