The Bentley Flying Spur Speed uses the 3,996 cc V8, twin-turbocharged, in an Ultra Performance Hybrid driveline, rated at 782 PS (575 kW) and 1,000 Nm, with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and all-wheel drive. The fourth Flying Spur keeps the MSB platform and the rear-wheel steering, and adds the two-valve dampers that separate compression from rebound, so the saloon can stay supple and still hold its body flat. The electric motor sits inside the gearbox housing, which is why the Speed answers the throttle before the eight cylinders have fired, and why it can leave a city without waking them at all.

Bentley put the Speed at the head of the fourth Flying Spur in 2024 and builds it at Crewe. The twelve-cylinder is gone from the range: every Flying Spur of this generation is a plug-in hybrid.
