The Regera was built between 2016 and 2022 in eighty cars. Its name is Swedish for « to reign », and its mechanical idea is unlike anything else on the road: a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 and three electric motors give a combined 1,500 hp, and there is no gearbox at all. Koenigsegg Direct Drive couples the engine to the rear axle through a single fixed ratio and a hydraulic coupling, letting the electric motors fill in what a gearbox would otherwise be for.
The body is a second signature: Autoskin opens every panel (doors, bonnet, engine cover) under robotic actuation, on a car whose whole structure is carbon fibre.
This car is specified in purple tinted carbon with clear-carbon speedster sides, gold leaf stripes down the centre and along the flanks, Tresex AirCore wheels and brake calipers in Darco red pearl. None of that is a factory option chart: it is how each Regera was ordered.
It is offered from SEMCO in Germany, price on request.
The technical table below sets out the mechanical side: 5.1 litres (5 065 cc), 1509 PS, an automatic gearbox. That works out at 298 PS per litre.
The Regera's Direct Drive is worth understanding, because nothing else on the road works this way. There is no gearbox: a hydraulic coupling connects the V8 to the rear axle through one fixed ratio of 2,73:1, and a 160 kW electric motor on the crankshaft plus one on each rear wheel fill in everything a gearbox would otherwise do. Below 50 km/h the car runs on the electric motors alone; above it the coupling locks and the V8 pulls in a single ratio to 400 km/h. The result has fewer moving parts than a conventional transmission and no shift at all. Eighty were built.
This Koenigsegg REGERA is a new car. It is powered by a 5065 cm³ petrol engine rated at 1509 PS (1110 kW). It is equipped with an automatic transmission.

FAQ
The car is located in Haar, Germany. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.
SEMCO GmbH, a professional dealer in Haar, Germany. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.
The car is at Haar, Germany, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history: LUSSO does not publish these and cannot confirm them.
LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with SEMCO GmbH before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.
A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
LUSSO publishes a market overview for the REGERA, covering current asking prices in Europe, availability by country, why prices differ, how VAT works on a cross-border purchase and what to compare between two cars.
