About the Lancia 037

Abarth did most of the engineering, with Pininfarina and Dallara: the 037 keeps the centre section of the Montecarlo with steel subframes front and rear, a 2,445 mm wheelbase and a body of fibreglass reinforced with Kevlar.

Group B required 200 road cars, and 207 were built from 1982 to 1984. In 1983 the 037 won the World Rally Championship for manufacturers, the last rear-wheel-drive car to take that title.
