About the Maybach 62 S

The S, for Spezial, puts the larger AMG-built engine into the long 62 body, 6,165 millimetres from end to end. The shorter 57 S is allowed 275 km/h, but the 62 S stays limited to 250 km/h for chauffeur use. Options included power side sunshades, cooled rear seats, an electrochromic panoramic roof and wireless headphones.

The 62 S appeared in November 2006 at Auto China in Beijing and was built at Sindelfingen until the marque stopped in 2012: 236 cars before the 2010 facelift and 256 after it.
