Unveiled on 13 April 2007 at Bahrain International Circuit, the CTR3 has its own platform engineered with Multimatic: a front structure in aluminium and zinc-dipped steel, a rear space frame machined from billet aluminium and Kevlar-carbon body panels, for 1,400 kg. The standard car has 701 PS and reaches 375 km/h; the Clubsport followed in 2012, and by May 2018 RUF had built 30 standard CTR3s and seven Clubsports.
RUF, the manufacturer based in Pfaffenhausen in the Unterallgäu that builds its own cars on Porsche bases, presented the CTR3 twenty years after the original CTR.
The available examples are all from the 2010 model year.
One RUF CTR3 is currently listed by a single dealer in the United Kingdom.
