About the Aermacchi Ala Verde

The frame is a monocoque of steel tube and pressed steel sheet, braked by 180 mm single-cam drums front and rear; the machine weighs 114 kg empty. The Ala Verde is the sporting version of the Ala Azzurra touring 250, and it went through four series, in 1959, 1963, 1967 and 1970.

Aermacchi built the Ala Verde at Schiranna, on the lake of Varese, from 1959 to 1972, with Harley-Davidson as a shareholder from 1960.
