1926 Renault Type PI Limousine Felber et Fils for Sale in the Netherlands

This 1926 Renault Type PI Limousine Felber et Fils is a used car showing 11,795 km. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Black with a Brown interior.

Felber et Fils, a well-known Paris coachbuilder of the 1920s, bodied this chassis as a limousine. It is one of the few Renaults of the period still known to survive, and the dealer identifies it as a PI with the 4.8-litre six that Renault sold as its luxury six-cylinder, together with four-wheel brakes, still unusual at the time.

Its early history is unknown until it was offered at the Barrett-Jackson sale in Scottsdale in 1986, where Frank Spain bought it for his collection. From then on it stood, untouched and never restored, among the exhibits of the Tupelo Automobile Museum. It is complete and wholly original, and it comes with papers from the 1986 auction and its Mississippi registration. Having been a static display for decades, it needs new tyres before any drive.

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands.

FAQ

This Renault Type PI in the European market

Can this Renault be bought in the Netherlands and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands. The dealer quotes it as: VAT included and not reclaimable: sold under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this Renault Type PI, and how does a purchase work?

Gallery Aaldering, a professional dealer in Brummen, Netherlands. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Renault Type PI be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Brummen, Netherlands, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.

Is this Renault Type PI still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Gallery Aaldering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the Netherlands?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
