This 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Boat-Tail Tourer is a used car showing 10,236 km. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in New Ivory and Mandeville Blue with a Tan interior.
Chassis 70WJ left Barker as an open tourer in September 1929 and was shipped to Bombay, where the local agent delivered it to the young Prince Pratap Singhrao Gaekwad of Baroda, who took it tiger hunting. Two London owners followed until 1967, when John Smart took it to Spain, where Josep Vert's coachworks near Girona partly rebuilt the body as the present boat tail, with parts the dealer links to a Rolls-Royce experimental sports tourer.
The Watson family of IBM kept it in the United States from 1968 to 1994, and the Ashdown Collection in England until 2010. Since then the engine has been overhauled with new pistons, camshaft and head, the clutch, radiator, vacuum pump and nickel plating renewed, and the original New Ivory and Mandeville Blue restored. Period photos from India and the 1929 factory papers come with it.
The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands.
