About the Rolls-Royce Phantom II

The chassis was entirely new, lower than before, with semi-elliptic springs at both ends, servo-assisted brakes on all four wheels and Bijur centralised lubrication; the standard wheelbase is 3,810 mm. Rolls-Royce supplied only the chassis and mechanicals; the body was built by a coachbuilder the owner chose.

The last of the 40/50 hp models, the Phantom II replaced the New Phantom in 1929 and was built at Derby until 1935, 1,681 chassis in all.
