This 1936 Lagonda LG45 Rapide Tourer is a used car. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Black with a Burgundy interior.
Delivered in 1936 on the short chassis as a pillarless saloon, this LG45 was later rebodied to the specification of the Rapide Tourer, the open car Frank Feeley drew and of which only 25 were made between 1936 and 1938. W.O. Bentley ran the Lagonda design office at the time.
A complete restoration in Bavaria followed a few years ago, and its mechanicals and electrics were improved for long historic rallies; the seller notes that it ran in the Tulip Rally of April 1950. The original 1936 logbook and a FIVA identity card come with it. Black with burgundy leather, right-hand drive.
The car is located in Hamburg, Germany.
The Lagonda LG45 uses the 4.5-litre (4,453 cc) Meadows straight-six with pushrod-operated overhead valves, with a four-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. The chassis has a 3,277 mm (129-inch) wheelbase and hydraulic dampers.

FAQ
The car is located in Hamburg, Germany. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.
Thiesen, a professional dealer in Hamburg, Germany. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.
The car is at Hamburg, Germany, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.
LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Thiesen before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.
A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
