This 1952 Bentley Mark VI Special is a used car. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Polished aluminium with a Red interior. It is a 2-seat car and has had 5 previous owners.
DLB Engineering of Northamptonshire, a firm that restores Bentleys and Jaguars, built this Special on a 1952 Mark VI saloon whose body was too corroded to save and whose engine had failed. A rebuilt Rolls-Royce B81 straight-eight now sits in the frame, which was lengthened by about 40 cm at the front and shortened by as much at the rear, with extra bracing and the cruciform member kept.
As the pedal box and gearbox stayed in their original place, the driving position is that of the saloon. The polished aluminium open body, cycle wings and wire wheels recall the Speed Six and the Bentleys that won Le Mans in the 1920s.
The car is located in Tollerton, United Kingdom.
The Bentley Mark VI Speed 8 (B81) uses a Rolls-Royce B81 straight-eight of 6,516 cc from the B range, with inlet-over-exhaust valves and a 3.75-inch bore by 4.5-inch stroke, rated at 185 bhp at 3,750 rpm in its standard form, with the Mark VI's four-speed synchromesh manual gearbox, driving the rear wheels.

The car is at Tollerton, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.
LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Kaaimans International before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.
A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
