A left-hand-drive Fiat 500L that left the Turin factory in 1969 and shows 5,160 miles, turned into a tribute to the Italian Polizia.
Fiat introduced the 500L in 1968 as the better-appointed version of the 500: the L stands for Lusso, and it brought revised bumpers with tubular overriders, new exterior trim and a more complete interior, without touching the dimensions or the simple layout that had made the 500 a familiar sight across Europe. The 499 cc air-cooled twin sits behind the rear axle and drives the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox.
The car wears a period-correct Polizia livery with blue beacons, a siren, a Motorola Mocom-70 radio and a public address system; the beacon still works, though British law keeps it off the road. It was restored through the late 2000s, and the photographic record that comes with it runs from November 2007, before the work began, to May 2009: the body stripped to nothing and rebuilt with a great many new panels. It has been with its present keeper since 2017. Joe Macari sells it from Merton Road, London.
This 1969 Fiat 500 L, Polizia tribute is a used car showing 8,304 km. The car is finished in White.

FAQ
The car is located in London, United Kingdom. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.
8,304 km recorded, against a median of 9,500 km across the Fiat advertised in Europe in 2026. It is therefore among the lower-mileage cars currently listed. Service history and previous owners are not published on LUSSO and should be confirmed with the selling dealer.
Joe Macari, a professional dealer in London, United Kingdom. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.
The car is at London, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history: LUSSO does not publish these and cannot confirm them.
LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Joe Macari before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.
A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
LUSSO publishes a market overview for the 500, covering current asking prices in Europe, availability by country, why prices differ, how VAT works on a cross-border purchase and what to compare between two cars.
