The R129 SL was Mercedes-Benz's roadster from 1989 to 2001, with an automatic roll-over bar and a removable hardtop. The SL 280 arrived in 1993 with the M 104 straight-six of 2,799 cc and 24 valves, rated at 193 PS at 5,500 rpm and 270 Nm; with the four-speed automatic Mercedes quoted 225 km/h and 9.9 seconds from rest to 100 km/h.
This 1994 car was ordered in 744 Brillantsilber metallic as a special paint, over blue leather (code 262) with a dark blue soft top. The dealer reports 30,364 km from new, original paint throughout and no notable signs of use, plus a recent major service at a Mercedes-Benz dealer.
Its factory options include the four-speed automatic, automatic climate control, heated seats, burr walnut trim, a wind deflector and an alarm. The documentation folder holds the original order form, the purchase invoice and every service invoice, and ten dated services run from December 1993 to September 2026.
