The Alpina B7 of the E65 generation, built from 2004 to 2008, was Alpina's version of the BMW 7 Series. It was assembled largely at BMW's Dingolfing plant and completed at Alpina's works in Buchloe, and its 4.4-litre V8, derived from BMW's N62, was fitted with a centrifugal supercharger running 0.8 bar of boost.
Alpina rated the engine at 500 PS (368 kW) between 5,250 and 6,000 rpm, with 698 Nm between 4,250 and 5,250 rpm, driven through a six-speed ZF automatic with Switch-Tronic buttons on the steering wheel. The quoted top speed was 299 km/h, and independent testing exceeded it. The E65 is the short-wheelbase body, 5,029 mm long; the long E66 version added 140 mm.
This B7 dates from 2007 and is finished in Titaniumsilber metallic with black Exclusive leather. The dealer gives 125,000 km and the automatic gearbox, and publishes no equipment list, description or service record for the car beyond its photographs.
