2015 Porsche 918 Spyder for Sale in United Kingdom

A 918 Spyder of 2015, UK registered, showing 6,900 miles.

The 918 was Porsche's hybrid hypercar: a 4.6-litre naturally aspirated V8 from the RS Spyder race car, two electric motors, 887 hp in total, and a carbon monocoque with removable roof panels. 918 were built.

It was the first road car under seven minutes at the Nürburgring. DK Engineering sells it from Chorleywood at £1,999,995.

The launch of the Porsche 918 Spyder has redefined the supercar and introduced a new group, known as the "hypercars". The 918, along with the LaFerrari and McLaren P1, herald the arrival of a new generation of cars and this elite selection including the 918, offer technology never before seen in motor vehicles. The power of the internal combustion engine has been coupled together with hybrid technology to deliver a package that is quite simply mesmerising.

In the 918 Spyder, there are two electric motors present which deliver a combined 286hp - the highest power output of any production hybrid motor the world has seen. The hybrid battery, which is a liquid-cooled high performance lithium-ion variant, offers an instantaneous boost to the electric motors and can be recharged using a conventional power output and charging lead, or can be recharged while the vehicle is in motion. In one such scenario, a portion of the vehicle's kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy by the electric motors. Additionally, one of the electric motors can be driven by the engine, acting as a generator and thus charging the hybrid battery. As a result, driving in purely electric mode can be achieved, or the greater reserves of energy can be used to enhance the cars performance around the track. The standard charging time for the vehicle when connected to a 240v supply is around two hours.

The combined power output is almost 900hp, with a 4.6 litre V8 engine providing a truly fantastic soundtrack. The top speed of the car is 214mph, with a 0-60 time of just 2.5 seconds and the car can accelerate from 49 to 74mph on a scarcely believable 1.2 seconds. The only car of the suitably named ‘holy trinity’ to offer a removable roof adds an extra dimension to the 918, the experience delivered all the more extraordinary.

The all electric range is up to 19 miles and the car will somewhat surprisingly achieve an average of around 30mpg. Extensively constructed from lightweight materials, the monocoque tub, sub-frame, doors and body panels are manufactured from carbon-fibre reinforced plastic, while the bumpers are made from polyurethane. The suspension benefits from forged aluminium wishbones, the PASM adaptive dampers fitted as standard. Another feature of the car is the 4-wheel steering which improves cornering, handling, stability and helps to make the car feel smaller. This is determined by the speed the vehicle is travelling at any given time and the rear axle can be manoeuvred in the same direction as the front wheels, or in the opposite direction to them.

This example was supplied new to its first keeper by Porsche Centre Moers, Germany on 3rd June 2015. Optioned in the elegant Rhodium Silver over black leather, this example sees Acid Green piping and exterior details as per the launch specification.

Unusually this example features the exposed aluminium dashboard, normally hidden with the election of carbon fibre dashboard inserts. As such the visual connection with the Carrera GT is all the more prevalent. This example also benefits from the desirable and sought-after front-axle lifting system.

This 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder is a used car showing 11,104 km.

The asking price is £1,999,995. The car is located in Chorleywood, United Kingdom.

FAQ

This Porsche 918 Spyder in the European market

Is this Porsche priced above or below the European market?

At £1,999,995, it sits above the median of €185,000 for the 303 Porsche advertised in Europe in 2026. 99% of them are advertised for less. Asking prices are not transaction prices, and specification differences explain much of the spread.

Can this Porsche be bought in the United Kingdom and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

How much did this Porsche 918 Spyder cost new?

The manufacturer's base list price was €768,000 in Germany, excluding options. This car is advertised at £1,999,995, 160% above that figure. A list price is the launch price of the version without options, so a heavily specified car left the factory above it, and it says nothing about what the car is worth today.

How does the mileage of this Porsche compare?

11,104 km recorded, against a median of 12,643 km across the Porsche advertised in Europe in 2026. It is therefore among the lower-mileage cars currently listed. Service history and previous owners are not published on LUSSO and should be confirmed with the selling dealer.

Which other Porsche are priced closest to this one?

a car in Germany at €2,000,000, and a car in Germany at €1,700,000. Observed in 2026. Comparing them means putting model year, mileage, factory options and the VAT basis side by side before the price itself.

Who is selling this Porsche 918 Spyder, and how does a purchase work?

DK Engineering, a professional dealer in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Porsche 918 Spyder be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Chorleywood, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history: LUSSO does not publish these and cannot confirm them.
