2016 Lister Costin Sanction II for Sale in the United Kingdom

This 2016 Lister Costin Sanction II is a used car. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Dark blue with white stripes with a Black interior.

Pearsons Engineering, a family firm long devoted to racing Jaguars and Jaguar-engined Listers, spent 18 months building this Costin from archive drawings, with period methods. It was finished in September 2016, when Lister inspected it, confirmed it to its ex-works standard and gave it Sanction II status with the chassis number BHL 183S, which lets it race at Goodwood's Members' Meeting as well as at the Le Mans Classic.

On track it took pole in Plateau 3 at the 2018 Le Mans Classic, won the Pall Mall Cup outright at Silverstone in 2021 and its class at Donington in 2022. A few stone chips mark the nose.

The car is located in Oxford, United Kingdom.

The Lister Costin Jaguar uses a dry-sump Jaguar straight-six with a wide-angle cylinder head, built for historic racing, rated at about 375 PS (276 kW) in its current racing specification, with a four-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels.

FAQ

This Lister Costin in the European market

Can this Lister be bought in the United Kingdom and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Oxford, United Kingdom. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Which other Lister are priced closest to this one?

a 2020 car in the United Kingdom at €350,411. Observed in 2026. Comparing them means putting model year, mileage, factory options and the VAT basis side by side before the price itself.

Who is selling this Lister Costin, and how does a purchase work?

Girardo & Co., a professional dealer in Oxford, United Kingdom. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Lister Costin be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Oxford, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.

Is this Lister Costin still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Girardo & Co. before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the United Kingdom?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
