Giotto Bizzarrini engineered it with wishbones in front, a De Dion rear axle with Watt linkage and servo discs all round, under a Giugiaro body styled at Bertone. The 1970 Series II nose brought half-hidden pop-up headlamps, and the Can Am weighs 1,610 kg.
Iso built the Can Am at Bresso from 1970 to 1972 as the successor to the 7 Litri, about 20 of some 412 Grifos.
The available examples are all from the 1972 model year.
