1956 BSA Gold Star Seeley racing replica for Sale in the Netherlands

This 1956 BSA Gold Star Seeley racing replica is a used car showing 100 km. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Green and silver.

This is a racing replica in the style of the Seeley machines, built around a 500 cc BSA single with an 85 by 88 mm bore and stroke. It is a proven track bike rather than a showpiece and has been ridden successfully in historic races, The Bikers' Classics among them.

The dealer reports an excellent, well-maintained machine that keeps its original features and authentic racing finish. Its photographs show a green fairing, a polished alloy tank, a large drum front brake and number boards carrying 60.

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands.

The BSA Gold Star 500 uses the 499 cc single-cylinder with an 85 mm bore and 88 mm stroke, rated at about 42 bhp (31 kW) in DBD34 form and a top speed of 180 km/h (110 mph), with a separate gearbox, in ultra-close-ratio RRT2 form on the later DBD34, and chain final drive. From 1953 the Gold Star used a duplex swinging-arm frame with twin front downtubes. It dominated the Isle of Man Clubmans TT, which it won repeatedly up to 1956.

FAQ

This BSA Gold Star in the European market

Can this BSA be bought in the Netherlands and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands. The dealer quotes it as: VAT included and not reclaimable: sold under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this BSA Gold Star, and how does a purchase work?

Gallery Aaldering, a professional dealer in Brummen, Netherlands. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this BSA Gold Star be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Brummen, Netherlands, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.

Is this BSA Gold Star still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Gallery Aaldering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the Netherlands?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
