1951 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport Villa d'Este Cabriolet for Sale in Germany

This 1951 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport Villa d'Este Cabriolet is a used car. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Grigio metallizzato with a Black and grey interior.

Touring built only one Villa d'Este cabriolet on the short SS chassis, number 915881, and showed it at the 1950 Turin motor show; after four Italian owners it was declared destroyed in June 1956. Chassis 915828, shipped to Peru in 1950 as a short-wheelbase convertible, turned up in Italy in 1993 with a Villa d'Este coupé body.

Between 2013 and 2017 Carrozzeria Touring took it down to the last bolt, restored its matching-numbers mechanicals and, with leading specialists, rebuilt the lost cabriolet exactly, down to the cigarette dispenser and the large tool box of the original. It drives on the right.

The car is located in Berlin, Germany.

The Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport uses the 2,443 cc straight-six fed by three carburettors, rated at 110 bhp at 4,800 rpm and more than 160 km/h, with a four-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. The 6C 2500 keeps a steel ladder frame, with double wishbones at the front and hydraulic drum brakes; Touring's Superleggera bodies clothe it in aluminium. The Super Sport was the most powerful road version of the 2500, above the Turismo and the Sport.

FAQ

This Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport in the European market

Can this Alfa Romeo be bought in Germany and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Berlin, Germany. The dealer quotes it as: The 6C 2500 keeps a steel ladder frame, with double wishbones at the front and hydraulic drum brakes; Touring's Superleggera bodies clothe it in aluminium. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport, and how does a purchase work?

Thiesen, a professional dealer in Berlin, Germany. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Berlin, Germany, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.

Is this Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Thiesen before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in Germany?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.

Where can I see the wider Alfa Romeo market?

LUSSO publishes a market overview for the 6C 2500 Super Sport, covering current asking prices in Europe, availability by country, why prices differ, how VAT works on a cross-border purchase and what to compare between two cars.
