1961 Citeria 600 for Sale in the Netherlands

This 1961 Citeria 600 is a used car showing 14,218 km. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Green with a Beige interior.

Only one Citeria was ever made, and this is it. Garage owner Puck van Beekum conceived the small Dutch sports car with engineer Han van der Blij after an earlier venture had lost money, and it was presented at Circuit Zandvoort on 17 November 1958: the press and a television crew were there, Carel Godin de Beaufort drove it round the track, and Stirling Moss is reported to have attended.

Days later Van Beekum was arrested over his finances, and the plan for series production ended there. Its recipe is simple: a glass-fibre shell, all-round independent springing and a two-cylinder BMW engine cooled by air, good for roughly 135 km/h according to period figures. It was fully restored and rebuilt towards the end of the twentieth century and comes with its documented history.

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands.

FAQ

This Citeria 600 in the European market

Can this Citeria be bought in the Netherlands and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Brummen, Netherlands. The dealer quotes it as: VAT included and not reclaimable: sold under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this Citeria 600, and how does a purchase work?

Gallery Aaldering, a professional dealer in Brummen, Netherlands. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Citeria 600 be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Brummen, Netherlands, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.

Is this Citeria 600 still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Gallery Aaldering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the Netherlands?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
