Overview about this 2018 Atalanta Sports Two-Seater for sale

The second of three Sports Two-Seaters built by the revived Atalanta Motors, and the car the company used for press. Atalanta of Middlesex was founded in 1937, built 22 cars in two years and stopped when the war came; the revival was a multi-million-pound undertaking by Martin Corfield, whose stated intention was to restore a motor company rather than merely a motor car.

Every component was reverse engineered from the original design, which allowed known weaknesses to be corrected, and parts were developed in CAD with a number of elements printed in stainless steel, uncommon in the early 2010s. The bodywork is alloy over an ash frame, as the originals were, and the 1938 works Le Mans entrant, now owned by Corfield himself, served as the reference. The 1930s cars used lightweight alloys intended for aviation, and that thinking carried into the new ones.

Power comes from a Ford-sourced four-cylinder with revised cams, variable valve timing and a heavy flywheel, rated at 200 hp and 215 lb ft, driving through a five-speed Borg Warner gearbox in a revised Atalanta aluminium casing, on a short-wheelbase chassis. Right-hand drive, manual, titled in the United Kingdom.

FAQ

This Atalanta Sports Two-Seater in the European market

How this car sits against the other Atalanta Sports Two-Seater advertised in Europe on 2026, and what to settle before a cross-border purchase.

Can this Atalanta be bought in the United Kingdom and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this Atalanta Sports Two-Seater, and how does a purchase work?

DK Engineering, a professional dealer in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Atalanta Sports Two-Seater be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Chorleywood, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history: LUSSO does not publish these and cannot confirm them.

Is this Atalanta Sports Two-Seater still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with DK Engineering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the United Kingdom?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
