The Nissan Skyline GT-R uses the 2,568 cc RB26DETT twin-turbocharged straight-six, with a six-speed Getrag manual gearbox and the ATTESA E-TS Pro four-wheel drive, which sends torque forward only when the rear axle slips. The R34 of 1999 shortened the wheelbase and stiffened the shell over the R33, kept multi-link suspension at both ends and the Super-HICAS rear-wheel steering, and added a Brembo brake package on the V-Spec. A multifunction display on the centre console reads oil and water temperature, turbo pressure and torque split, and the V-Spec adds an active rear limited-slip differential and an underbody diffuser.
