About the Audi R8 GT

The R8 GT is the lightened version of the first-generation R8 V10: about 100 kg come out of the car through carbon fibre parts, thinner glass and bucket seats, and a fixed rear wing replaces the moving spoiler. Audi built 333 coupés from 2010, followed by 333 Spyders, each numbered inside.

The R8 was built by quattro GmbH at Neckarsulm and shared its aluminium space frame and V10 with the Lamborghini Gallardo, both brands belonging to the Volkswagen group.
