Ford Escort RS Turbo for Sale

The RS Turbo is the last performance version of the third Escort, the front-wheel-drive car developed as project Erika and launched in September 1980; it went on sale in early 1985, almost always in Diamond White, with Recaro seats and the alloy wheels of the limited RS 1600i. Ford planned 5,000 cars, the homologation minimum, and sold them only through its Rallye Sport dealers, in left- and right-hand drive.

In the end 8,604 Series 1 cars were built, about 5,000 of them for the United Kingdom.
