About the Lamborghini Jalpa

A development of the Silhouette styled by Marc Deschamps at Bertone, the Jalpa kept the removable targa roof. Until 1984 it wore black plastic bumpers, air intakes and engine cover with rectangular tail lights, later replaced by body-coloured parts and round lamps. Lamborghini built 410 Jalpas between 1981 and 1988, and it remained the brand's last V8 model until the Urus of 2018.

Built at Sant'Agata Bolognese with Giulio Alfieri as chief engineer, the Jalpa arrived after the sale of Lamborghini in 1980, and falling sales under Chrysler ownership ended its production in 1988.
