About the McLaren GT

The structure is a MonoCell II-T carbon fibre monocoque, the T for the tail section that carries a load bay over the engine. It is the touring car of the range, with 570 litres of luggage space across the two compartments, softer springs and a longer final drive than the Super Series.

McLaren Automotive has built every road car on a carbon fibre tub since the MP4-12C of 2011, and splits its range into the Sports Series, the Super Series and the Ultimate Series. The LT badge, revived from the F1 GTR Longtail, marks the lightened and shorter-geared versions.
