About the McLaren 720S

The structure is a MonoCage II carbon fibre monocoque with aluminium subframes front and rear, the layout rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive. Launched in 2017, it took the Super Series from the 650S and its 3.8-litre engine to a 4.0-litre, and introduced the double-skinned dihedral doors that channel air to the rear radiators.

McLaren Automotive has built every road car on a carbon fibre tub since the MP4-12C of 2011, and splits its range into the Sports Series, the Super Series and the Ultimate Series. The LT badge, revived from the F1 GTR Longtail, marks the lightened and shorter-geared versions.
