The fourth of the twelve Lightweight E-types Jaguar built and, the Coombs prototype apart, the first delivered in Britain. Registered ‘86 PJ’ from new and still carrying that mark, the car was supplied to Tommy Atkins of High Efficiency Motors, who put Roy Salvadori in it for the 1963 season.

Salvadori took it to third in the Sussex Trophy at Goodwood on its first outing, qualifying ahead of a field that included Graham Hill in the prototype Lightweight and Mike Parkes in a 250 GTO, and added further podium finishes at Silverstone, Mallory Park and the RAC Tourist Trophy. Roger Mac raced it through 1964 with several outright wins before it passed to Penny Griffiths, in whose family it then stayed for some four decades, which is why so much of the car is still the car that left Browns Lane.

Eagle E-Types carried out preservation-focused work in 2004, deliberately conserving rather than replacing, and the interior it retains was awarded the Schedoni Trophy for best preserved interior at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in 2025. It is finished in the light metallic green it wore in period, is right-hand drive with a manual gearbox, and is titled in the United Kingdom.
