One of the seven Lightweight E-types Jaguar built to use the chassis numbers allocated in 1963 and never taken up. It carries a 3.8-litre six with triple Weber carburettors and a wide-angle cylinder head, and is fully road registered in Britain with a period-correct 1963 V5C certificate.
Jaguar Classic used it as a North American press car, so it appeared widely in promotional material and magazines and on the Special Vehicle Operations stand at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, before returning to the factory to be rebuilt to as-new condition ahead of delivery. Its first owner used it gently, covering some 700 miles.
DK Engineering acquired it in 2021 and sent it to ADP Classic Racing to be prepared for competition. That work ran six months and came to £160,000, of which just over £60,000 went on the engine and its parts: a full rebuild to Lightweight specification with an alloy block, wide-angle head and dry sump, together with a weight-reduction programme to bring the car to the stipulated limit. Being factory-built, it has dispensation to run in Peter Auto without penalty and in the GTSCC to full Lightweight specification. It comes with the original parts removed during race preparation. Right-hand drive, manual, titled in the United Kingdom.
This 1963 Jaguar E-Type Lightweight Continuation shows 322 km. It is powered by a 3.8-litre six to full Lightweight specification: alloy block, wide-angle head, dry sump, triple Weber carburettors engine. It is equipped with a manual transmission.
Equipment includes Alloy-block engine to full Lightweight specification, Wide-angle cylinder head, Dry-sump lubrication, Triple Weber carburettors, Weight reduced to the stipulated competition limit.

FAQ
How this car sits against the other Jaguar E-Type Lightweight advertised in Europe on 2026, and what to settle before a cross-border purchase.
The car is located in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.
322 km recorded, against a median of 26,957 km across the Jaguar advertised in Europe in 2026. It is therefore among the lower-mileage cars currently listed. Service history and previous owners are not published on LUSSO and should be confirmed with the selling dealer.
DK Engineering, a professional dealer in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.
The car is at Chorleywood, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history: LUSSO does not publish these and cannot confirm them.
LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with DK Engineering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.
A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
LUSSO publishes a market overview for the E-Type Lightweight, covering current asking prices in Europe, availability by country, why prices differ, how VAT works on a cross-border purchase and what to compare between two cars. See the Jaguar market overview
