The 365 GTB/4 Daytona was Leonardo Fioravanti's design at Pininfarina, bodied by Scaglietti in Modena, with a front-mounted 4.4-litre Colombo V12 and a five-speed gearbox at the rear. Only 158 right-hand-drive cars were delivered new to Britain.
Chassis 15913, a 1972 car, is one of them. It was ordered new by Anthony Bamford, now Lord Bamford of JCB, who chose Giallo Fly with a brown leather interior and factory air conditioning, rare on a British car, and registered it JCB 123. After almost 23 years with a London dealer it returned to the Bamford family in 1999, so it has known two owners in more than fifty years. It shows 33,919 miles (54,587 km), has just been serviced, was maintained by Terry Hoyle and Bob Houghton, still has matching chassis, body, engine and gearbox, and appeared on the cover of Octane in May 2008.

In 1972 the German importer listed the 365 GTB/4 at about DM 82,000, which is €41,926 at the fixed conversion rate, before options. The dealer asks £595,000, about €694,120 at the LUSSO indicative rate of 28 August 2026: +1556%, a nominal change over several decades, with no adjustment for inflation, and the seller does not state the VAT basis of the price.
