The 365 GTB/4 Daytona was Leonardo Fioravanti's design at Pininfarina, bodied by Scaglietti in Modena, with a front-mounted 4.4-litre Colombo V12 and a five-speed gearbox at the rear. Only 158 right-hand-drive cars were delivered new to Britain.
Chassis 16581 was delivered in June 1973 in Rosso Chiaro with black leather and factory air conditioning. Its first owner was the racer and hill climber Ernest Philip Rushton Scragg CBE; it later joined The Patrick Collection, the Birmingham motor museum, where it stood alongside Graham Hill's title-winning BRM V8 and Nigel Mansell's Lotus 92. It shows 17,480 miles (28,131 km), believed to be the original mileage, and has covered fewer than 1,000 miles since a full engine rebuild. Bob Houghton's Ferrari workshop has looked after it since 1995, and it received its Ferrari Classiche Red Book in 2015, confirming the original chassis, body and engine. A history file, the original handbooks and the tool roll come with it.
