About the MG NA Magnette

The N-type chassis broke with the earlier ladder frames: wider at the rear than at the front, it carries the body on outriggers and rubber pads, with semi-elliptic leaf springs all round, a 2,439 mm wheelbase and a 1,143 mm track.

MG built the N-type at Abingdon from October 1934 to 1936; its NE competition version, built for the 1934 Tourist Trophy, reached 68 bhp at 6,500 rpm.
