MG Metro 6R4 for Sale

Developed by Williams Grand Prix Engineering for Group B, the 6R4 shares little but its looks with the production Metro: a seam-welded tubular semi-monocoque carries GRP panels, an aluminium roof and steel doors. David Wood's engine used some of the architecture of the Cosworth DFV. Around 200 Clubman homologation cars were made and sold to the public, and a further 20 were built to International specification.

Austin Rover Group assembled the homologation run at Longbridge in 1985. After Group B was banned in 1986, Tom Walkinshaw Racing bought the parts and engines, and the V6 returned with turbochargers in the Jaguar XJ220.
