Cream over a Dark Blue interior, and one of only eleven right-hand-drive Series 1 3.8 fixed-head coupés built in that combination according to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. Chassis 860235 was manufactured on 19 February 1962, dispatched on 14 March and supplied new via Henlys of London through Highway Motors of Hertford.

The E-type arrived in 1961 with a 3,781 cc twin-cam straight six, a four-speed gearbox, independent rear suspension and disc brakes at each corner, in a monocoque with a tubular front structure. It is the car that rewrote what a road-going sports car could look like and how it could handle.

The file goes back to the late 1960s in invoices and correspondence. Since October 2017 the car has been through a major restoration by XK Motorsport covering the bodywork, chassis, suspension, drivetrain, brakes and electrics, with a full engine rebuild and more than 172,000 pounds spent, along with uprated brakes and an aluminium radiator.
