Overview about this 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 for sale

A P400, the first of the Miuras, completed at Sant'Agata Bolognese and delivered to Lamborghini's Italian agent SEA S.r.l. on 5 September 1968 in Bleu Miura over a Skay Senape interior. Factory records confirm only 37 P400s left in that blue.

It sold that month to Gian Giacomo Paladino in Rome, then passed to Lamberto Genesi, returned to SEA in November 1969, went to Como in 1970, and from May of that year was registered to Maria Monastero, who kept it more than a decade. Along the way chassis 3645 was repainted in Rosso Miura, and by the time it appeared at auction in 2009 it was in Blu Sera. It was exported to the Middle East shortly afterwards.

The present owner bought it in 2018 and set out to return it to its delivered specification, entrusting it to the Italian restorer Scartapatti for a full bare-metal, concours-level rebuild, documented photographically from stripping through paint, a complete engine and running-gear overhaul, a new interior and final assembly, down to period-correct detail. It retains its matching-numbers engine and has covered 1,150 km since. Left-hand drive, manual, titled in the United Kingdom.

This 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 is offered for sale. It is powered by a Matching numbers engine. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Bleu Miura, its delivered colour, restored with a Skay Senape interior.

The price is on request. The car is located in Chorleywood, United Kingdom.

FAQ

This Lamborghini Miura P400 in the European market

How this car sits against the other Lamborghini Miura P400 advertised in Europe on 2026, and what to settle before a cross-border purchase.

Can this Lamborghini be bought in the United Kingdom and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this Lamborghini Miura P400, and how does a purchase work?

DK Engineering, a professional dealer in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Lamborghini Miura P400 be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Chorleywood, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history: LUSSO does not publish these and cannot confirm them.

Is this Lamborghini Miura P400 still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with DK Engineering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the United Kingdom?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.

Where can I see the wider Lamborghini market?

LUSSO publishes a market overview for the Miura P400, covering current asking prices in Europe, availability by country, why prices differ, how VAT works on a cross-border purchase and what to compare between two cars. See the Lamborghini market overview
