About the Aston Martin Rapide

About sixty per cent of the chassis and powertrain comes from the DB9 on the aluminium VH platform, with the wheelbase stretched by 30 cm for two more doors; the rear seats fold to give 750 litres. A Bang & Olufsen system with tweeters that rise from the dashboard is standard, and it was the first Aston Martin with Garmin navigation.

Drawn by Marek Reichman, the marque's first series-built four-door was made by Magna Steyr at Graz from May 2010, then at Gaydon from 2012.
