About the Aston Martin V8 Vantage

The platform is the bonded aluminium structure shared with the DB11, of which around seventy per cent of the parts are specific to the Vantage, with the engine set front mid-mounted and drive to the rear. In production since 2018, the coupé weighs 1,530 kg dry, and the Roadster followed in 2020.

Aston Martin has assembled its sports cars at Gaydon since 2003 and its V12s at Newport Pagnell before that. The bonded aluminium platform introduced with the DB11 in 2016 underpins the Vantage, the DB12 and the DBS alike, each with its own body and its own engine.
