The body descends from Carlo Delaisse's T26 Grand Sport Lago coupé and sits on the T26's tubular chassis, with a 2,500 mm wheelbase, drum brakes all round and a weight of about 1,000 kg. Talbot-Lago fitted the BMW engine in 1957 to court the American market, but only about a dozen cars were sold.
The T14 2500 Sport, built at Suresnes from 1955 to 1959 in 54 examples, was the last Talbot-Lago model; after Simca bought the marque in 1959 a handful received the Simca Vedette V8 instead.
