This 1987 Ferrari Testarossa Alcador by Sbarro is a used car showing 4,150 km. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Grigio metallizzato with a Dark red interior.
Franco Sbarro, the Italian designer based in Switzerland, and the students of his Sbarro centre shaped this radical open two-seater on a shortened Testarossa chassis, taken from a single-mirror car with centre-lock wheels, and called it Alcador. It made its debut on his stand at the Geneva motor show in 1995, and it is that very car, one of three Alcadors built.
Apart from two outside mirrors added later it remains entirely original and has been driven little since Geneva. It carries a German road registration, and Jeremy Clarkson drove it for Top Gear.
The car is located in Berlin, Germany.
The Ferrari Testarossa uses the 4,943 cc Tipo F113 flat-twelve, mounted longitudinally behind the cabin with four valves per cylinder, rated at 390 PS (287 kW) at 6,300 rpm and 490 Nm, with a five-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. Pininfarina drew the Testarossa for the 1984 Paris show as the successor to the Berlinetta Boxer; the side strakes feed two rear-mounted radiators, which is why the car is so wide across the tail. Ferrari built 7,177 before the 512 TR of 1992.
