FAQ
Current asking prices, availability, VAT rules and cross-border considerations when buying a luxury car in Czechia.
166 in 2026, advertised by specialist dealers and aggregated by LUSSO. The most represented makes are Mercedes-Benz (27), Mercedes-AMG (25), Audi (19), Porsche (17), BMW (16). Availability changes as cars are sold. See the listings
Across 166 priced listings in Czechia in 2026, the median asking price was €81,816. Excluding the lowest-priced 10% and the highest-priced 10%, asking prices ranged from €41,794 to €396,714. Prices quoted in CZK were converted into euros using exchange rates from 2026. The figure covers everything from modern GTs to hypercars, so it describes the offer rather than any one model. These are asking prices, not completed transaction prices.
Listings in Czechia appear under more than one regime: prices quoted net of VAT for export, with VAT deductible ; the margin scheme, under which VAT is not shown separately. A price quoted net of VAT for export is not the price a private buyer pays. Whether VAT can be reclaimed depends on the status of the buyer and the seller, the invoicing method, whether the car counts as new or used for tax purposes, and the country of registration.
Yes, and it is common for this kind of car. The buyer needs the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, and an invoice that states the VAT treatment. Temporary export plates, transport and insurance are arranged with the selling dealer. Registration taxes are paid in the destination country, not in Czechia, and they differ widely across Europe.
A lower advertised price does not always mean a lower total cost. Transport, registration, CO2 and weight-based taxes and any VAT that cannot be reclaimed all fall due in the country where the car will be registered. Compare the same car on the same tax basis and in the same currency before concluding, and count the delivered cost rather than the advertised figure.
Ask the selling dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners, any accident history and the warranty position, none of which LUSSO publishes. Arrange an inspection, by an independent inspector or a marque specialist if you are buying from abroad, and confirm the VAT basis in writing before any payment. See the listings
